My post is up and I emailed the museum in Mexico to see if they’ll tell me about the book – hadn’t used my rusty Spanish in years -
btw, my last name is Czech – Sup – maybe Americanized – but my husband’s family is from there. His father told me the name means “to scurry”.

I had a question to ask you about your photo on Flickr of the Ancient Maya book from the Mexico City museum. I’d like to use it in my blog. Would that be OK? Could you tell me more about it? The book is fanned out so it is acordion-style. Is it a replica, do you think, or is it really one of the few Mayan books that remained after the Spanish burned so many?
